Paranoid about getting attacked by a malicious website, through your web browser? Well, then you might want to try out Firekeeper. It’s a browser-based IDPS, based on the Snort pattern matching algorithm for quick performance and good accuracy. Firekeeper will help detect and prevent web attacks based on a set of rules, which can be enabled, disabled, or customized by the user. It’s still in alpha, so there are probably bugs, but I’m sure they would appreciate some more people testing it out. Check out the screenshots for an idea of how it works.

If you’re looking for more security features for Firefox, I recommend the NoScript add-on. It allows you to limit active executable content, such as JavaScript, to only those websites that you trust. There’s also the option to completely disable scripting, which can be handy if you often browse some shady sites.
